ANDY HENKEMEYER

Andy is head of all youth development through training and programming at Minnesota MASH.  As youth coordinator, Andy has established a community of growth, accountability, and fun for youth athletes looking to fall in love with the game of baseball.

Andy has been instrumental in off-season training, working unmatched hours helping members of MASH reach their development goals. 

For the MASH club teams, Andy coaches spring, our elite summer, and fall baseball teams. He is responsible for the success of the youth teams within MASH, attending all practices from 10U-14U.

A graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice HS, Andy was a 3 time letter winner in both baseball and hockey earning 3 years All Conference in both.

After an All State selection his senior season Andy earned a scholarship to play for the University of Minnesota. With the Gophers, Andy was a 4 year starter, won a Big Ten regular season and tournament title and helped the gophers to a regional runner up finish.

As a member of the St. Cloud River Bats in the Northwoods League Andy was a 2X All Star and  River Bat MVP in 2011.

He was also named the Minnesota Golden Gophers MVP in both 2012 and 2013.

After Graduating Andy signed a professional contract with the St. Paul Saints and played with them for 2 seasons.

Andy began his coaching career in the Twin Cities area over the past 2 years with the St. Paul Saints Academy. While there Andy coached the 16U select team while also running training and lessons throughout the facility.

 Andy will be heavily involved in instructing hitting, fielding, and catching classes for Mash.
